About us



Having spent over 30 years within the Construction Industry as a Foreman Joiner, Joe Woodmass  (Company Director) took the decision to set up Joe Woodmass Joinery Ltd, to allow him to fully control the Quality of Workmanship he felt that should be delivered that all Clients deserve.  Being a fully qualified Joiner himself and having the fortune of completing an excellent 6 year apprentiship in the early 80ís with Bell & Ridley who, were based in Durham City where he had the opportunity to learn traditional methods of Joinery and Carpentry, using traditional methods with traditional handtools, including manufacturing Gothic Arches within historic buildings, bespoke furnishing within Vicarages and Churches throughout the North East and Durham County Hall with the highlight of having worked on the beautiful Durham Cathedral within the City of Durham.  Due to his skills and knowledge base, Joe as a Company Director works alongside our Joiners on site.

Commercial Joinery Company based in South Yorkshire and carry out projects throughout North, West, South Yorkshire and East Ridings/Humberside, Co Durham, also Lincolnshire, Lancashire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.... 
Family run Company with over 30 years experience in all aspects of both traditional and modern methods of joinery and carpentry.  
Built on reputation we pride ourselves in our quality of workmanship.  
Highly skilled joiners all having CSCS, either NVQ or City & Guilds Qualified 
Working for architects and designers throughout the public and private sector including local authorities and the entertainment industry 
Priority is Health and Safety on site, ensuring that our own joiners, other trades employees and public are protected to our uttermost as is far as is reasonably practicable. We have our NEBOSH Diploma qualified in house Health and Safety Team, continually monitoring projects, writing detailed risk assessments and method statements for every aspect of works we carry out.  We also continually develop through regular training.  We are members of ROSPA and take our membership very seriously
